Maria Prall (1734-1770) aka Mary Prall

Birth:
She was the daughter of Abraham Prall I (1706-1775).

Marriage:
Husband of John Mercereau (1732-1820) aka John Mersereau. John was the son of Joshua Mercereau. John Mercereau served, with his brother Joshua Mercereau, during the Revolution. He was instrumental in saving the retreat of General Washington's army after crossing the Delaware River, by discovering a sunken boat and destroying it. He and his brother, Joshua ran the first line of stage coaches between New York and Philadelphia. John introduced the first postcoach into the country from England. When the revolution broke out the stages belonging to the brothers were stopped and the horses turned over to the American service for the army. After the war he removed with his family and his brother, Joshua's family and many others, to the wilderness on the banks of Susquehanna River, and founded the village of Union, New York. On September 25, 1804, he wrote a letter, condoling upon the recent death of their brother, Jacob.

Children:
Maria Mercereau (c1759-1763) who was baptized on January 01, 1760; Joshua Mercereau (1762-?) who was born on October 01, 1762; Mary Mercereau (1765-1766) who was born February 28, 1765 and died on November 06, 1766; Abram Mercereau (1767-1811) who was born on February 18, 1767 and died on November 05, 1811; John Mercereau (1767-?) who was born February 18, 1767 and was baptised on April 17, 1767 and went to sea and was never heard from again; and Allada Mercereau (1768-1804) aka Alida Mercereau, who was born circa 1768, and was baptized on October 09, 1768, and died March 09, 1804.

Will of Father:
