, age 89, resident of 523 Andrick for many years, died Monday, March 14, 2016, at Medicalodge of Fort Scott.

He was born March 13, 1927, in Fort Scott, the son of Albert James Price and Alma Bryant Price.

Clarence worked for many years as salesman at Harlan Hardware until it closed and then he worked at Mayco Ace Hardware prior to retirement. Following retirement he operated a chain saw sharpening business out of his home.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He also was a member of Rising Sun Masonic Lodge #8 and the Scottish Rite Consistory.

Clarence enjoyed visiting with friends at 5-corners Mini Mart.

Survivors include a niece, Rebecca Marsh of Colorado.

Rev. Theadore Cook will conduce funeral services at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 18th, in the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Burial will follow in Mapleton Cemetery under the direction of Cheney Witt Chapel.

Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O. Box 347, Fort Scott, Kansas 66701.

, age 84, former resident of Fort Scott, and more recently of Coweta, Oklahoma, died Wednesday morning, May 8th, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She was born in Bourbon County, Kansas, the daughter of Perry William Townsend and Malinda Elizabeth Snyder Townsend.

She graduated high school in 1947.

She worked for Mercy Hospital as a supply clerk.

Carolyn enjoyed crocheting, collecting dolls and reading, especially western novels.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol J. Plaster and husband John, Coweta, Oklahoma; one brother, Roy Townsend and wife Nancy; five grandchildren, Rickey O'Dell and wife Teresa, Sherry Wilson and husband Gary, Brian Howard and wife Tatiana, Chad Howard, and Donny Howard and wife Emily; ten great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pastor John Plaster will conduct graveside services at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10th, in the Mapleton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until leaving for the cemetery at the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main.
