Geraldine P. Bass, age 84 of Carrollton, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015. She was born April 13, 1931 in Douglasville, to the late Alfred Prince and Annie Pyle Prince. She was a retired school bus driver after having driven for the Carroll County School System for 35 years. She was a member of Consolation Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Vernard L. Bass; son, Gene C. Bass; sons-in law, Glynn Otwell and Gary Anderson; sisters, Louise Vukas and Maedell Grubbs; and brothers, Preston Prince, Clifford Prince, James Prince, and Infant John Prince. Survivors include her son, Rayford Bass of Carrollton; daughters and son-in-law, Dianne and Ray Bearden, Sharon Otwell, and Brenda Anderson all of Carrollton; sisters, Inez Witt of Wedowee, Mary Camp, Nell Prince and Delree Prince all of Douglasville; ten grandchildren, Ken Bearden, Dusty Otwell, Tyler Bass, Brandon Anderson, Sheena Holland, Dave Bass, Amber Bass, Emily Bass, Daniel Bass, and Tabitha Tolbert; and sixteen great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Mike Powers officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memory Gardens. Those serving as pallbearers will be Mark Camp, Barry Camp, Terry Prince, Jeffery Prince, Wade Bass, and Wesley Bass. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Bass and Dan Prince.
