Bessie was born on her parents homestead near McMinnville. Her father died when she was only 10 yrs old. At age 18, on May 20 1919, she married Raymond Edmund Lee & they had 2 daughters, Dolores Laura, born 28 Feb 1920 in Rainier, Columbia County, Oregon and Marion Grace born 13 April, 1921 in Cedar Mill, Washington County, Oregon. A few weeks after the birth of their second daughter, Raymond left her & the girls.
Sometime before 1930, she married Mitchell Alberts, they were living in Camas, Washington with the 2 girls in 1930. That marriage also ended in divorce and on 20 Jun 1936 she married William Walter (Walt) Agee in Walla Walla, Washington. They bought a farm near Umatilla, Oregon where they lived the rest of their lives.
