EDINBURG - Julia Q. Quintanilla, 94, passed away to be with the Lord on Friday, July 27, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Quintanilla was born May 17, 1918, in San Perlitas, TX to Severo & Teresa Quiroga. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rosendo Quintanilla & 1 son, Jesus Quintanilla.
She is survived by 4 sons, Rosendo Quintanilla of Donna, TX, Juan Quintanilla, Rene Quintanilla both Weslaco, TX & Lupe Quintanilla of Ft. Wayne, IN; 2 daughters, Elvira Quintanilla of Donna, TX & Elida Longoria of Edinburg, TX. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren & numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012, & 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2012, at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Angels with a 7 p.m. rosary. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Celebrant: Rev. Gustavo Obando. Interment at Highland Memorial Park.
