Anna Marie Dilger, 77, passed away on Friday October 28, 2016 at her home in Sellersburg, Indiana.
She was born on March 22, 1939 to the late William and Rose (Peters) Rahman in Ferdinand, Indana. Mrs. Dilger recently retired from the United States Census Bureau after 42 years of clerical work. She also worked at the St. Meinrad Abby Press. Mrs. Dilger was a member of the St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Paul Campus). She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching her favorite Nascar driver Jeff Gordon, working cross word puzzles, watching IU basketball, and traveling to French Lick, Indiana.
Mrs. Dilger was preceded in death by her brothers, Norbert and Sylvester Rahman, and an infant brother.
Surviving are her loving husband of 53 years, Norbert Dilger, Sellersburg; daughters, Myra (Jim) Coomes, Lexington, Indiana, Sandy (Matt) Juliot, Georgetown, Indiana; brother, Donald Rahman, Ft. Branch, Indiana and grandchildren, Sydney Juliot, Madeline Juliot, and Wyatt Juliot.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday October 31, 2016 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Paul Campus) with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, with a Rosary service starting at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, St. John Paul II Catholic Church, and the St. John Paul II Catholic School.
