Mary Lou (Matzke) Randall, 69, Green Bay, passed away after a courageous nine year battle with ovarian cancer Tuesday evening, March 27, 2007, at a local hospital.


Born Oct. 10, 1937, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Earl and Annie (Scray) Matzke. Mary Lou is a graduate of East High School.


She married Donald Lipp on May 4, 1956, at St. Philip Church. The 22 year marriage was blessed with four children. Mary Lou was employed as a waitress at the Blackstone Restaurant.


She later married Charles Randall on April 5, 1990, he preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2007. Mary Lou provided help to other cancer survivors especially with the Cancer Care Network. Above all, Mary Lou loved her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed being outdoors in the sun, the sound of crickets, bowling, writing poetry, and practicing her Catholic faith as she regularly attended Mass at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.


She is survived by her first husband, Donald Lipp, De Pere; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Steven W. Krouth, De Pere; and Brenda and Kevin Broberg, Suamico; four grandchildren, Rachel and Doug Krouth and Zach and Brock Broberg; three brothers and spouses, Mike and Pat Matzke, Russ and Joan Matzke, Jerry Matzke; brothers-in-law, Bob Brosig, Silver Jankowski, Donald Gazella and James (Joan) Lipp; sister-in-law, Dorothy Matzke; many nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Douglas L. Lipp and Grant D. Lipp; husband, Charlie Randall; brothers, Merle (Dorothy), Donald, Robert (Leona) Matzke; sisters, Erna Brosig, Elizabeth (Chet) Corrigan, Shirley Jankowski, Eunice Gazella; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Mildred Lipp; sister-in-law, Janis Matzke; one niece, Amy Thompson; nephews, Scott Lipp and Lawrence Matzke.


Visitation at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 140 S. Monroe, Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Rosary will be recited in the church at 10:45 a.m. prior to the Mass. Funeral 11 a.m. at the cathedral with Msgr. Roy M. Klister officiating. Christian burial in Ft. Howard Memorial Park. WEST MASON MALCORE Funeral Home is serving the family.


Mary Lou's family extends a very special thank you to Drs. James McGovern and Gerald K. Bayer; the staffs of Green Bay Oncology, San Luis Manor and St. Vincent Hospital and a very special thanks to Msgr. Roy Klister.
