Daughter of Pioneers Here Dies In California
Funeral services for Mrs. Irma Rand Graham, 55, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.K. Rand, pioneers of the city, took place this afternoon at Evergreen cemetery in charge of Rev. Phipps of the Presbyterian church. The deceased died last week at Los Angeles, Calif., where she had been making her home for the last 30 years. The remains were cremated and the ashes sent here for burial on the family lot.E.K. Rand, father of the deceased, was the founder of the Rand-Roemer Hardware Co. in this city and the family built and lived in the homestead on North Eighth street which is now the rectory of the St. James church. Mrs. Graham is survived by two sons and two daughters, all living in California, and a sister, Mrs. Perrin Smith, of Palo Alto,Calif.Edward Rand and Sterling Rand of this city are cousins of the deceased.
