Cora Sue Raulston Boone, age 76, of Clarksville, passed away, Friday, November 21, 2014, at Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana. Mrs. Boone was born August 24, 1938, in Clarksville to Clarence Melvin and Nannie Bess Yarbrough Raulston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Boone; a sister, Katy, and 3 brothers, C.M., Herbert Wayne and Kenneth Adrian Raulston. Mrs. Boone was a longtime member of the New Haven Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, James Michael Boone of Clarksville; 1 brother, Willie Garland Raulston of New Boston; 1 grandson, Zachary Tyler Boone of Dallas; 1 sister-in-law, Christine Raulston of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are set for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014, at New Haven Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery.

Aunt Sue had OCD. Her Mom had OCD. They were uber clean freaks. Aunt Sue's Mom, Nannie Bess Yarbrough Raulston, would mop her wooden floors every day with bleach. They were gray from overuse of bleach. These were the old plank wooden floors. Aunt Sue vacuumed every day, swept every day, mopped every day, cleaned her bathroom, and dusted every day. It didn't bother her if company was there, and it didn't bother Ma Raulston, either. You'd just raise up your feet and she'd sweep and mop or vacuum right under your feet. There was never a dish in her sink. There was never a drop of water near her sink. She kept brown paper bags in her dishwasher - used it for a storage area to keep everything clean.
She was the baby of the family, and she was babied. She took care of her daddy, and one of Pa Raulston's last request to each of the boys was to look after Sue and Mike. She was pampered as long as the boys were alive, and by Garland until she passed away (he's still with us).
Her best friend was Imogene Raulston (also her 1st cousin). They kept up with each other throughout their lives.
Sue didn't mind being alone. In fact, she favored it. She didn't need to visit or talk on the phone every day to be content - just give her a broom, and she's happy. She told us she hopes they have a broom waiting on her in Heaven, so she can get started cleaning some more!
