Nellie Reeve Arnold, a life long resident of Calverton, passed away very suddenly at her home in Calverton on Wednesday, March 1 from a heart attack.
Mrs Arnold was highly respected and loved by all who knew her. She was the youngest of 10 children of George F and Mary E Reeve. Mrs Arnold served as postmistress in Calverton for several years and was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Services were conducted on Friday evening, March 3 by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Funeral services were held at Reginald Tuthill's Funeral Parlors on Saturday at 2:00 pm with the Rev Lawrence Boyll officiating. Interment was in the Riverhead Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband Edwin Arnold and two sisters, Mrs Margaret Karlein of Calverton and Mrs Bertha Raynor of Patchogue.
