Margaretta M. Craig, 88, of Collingswood Dr., Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Friday, April 3, 2015.

She was born in Harrisburg, daughter of the late Detective William T., Sr. and Stella (Turner) Reeves, a graduate of the former John Harris High School and Cheyney State Teachers College.
Later Margaretta married Leroy N. Craig, was an elementary school teacher in the Harrisburg School District, retired with 33 years of faithful service as she encouraged her students with love and discipline, a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where she served with the Drama Club and Choir.

In the community, she was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Order of Eastern Star Esther Chapter #1. In her leisure, she loved to sew, garden, draw, paint, sing, tutor children outside of school and spend time with family and friends.

Margaretta leaves to celebrate her life, her daughters, Doreena Sloan (Alfred) and Lisa Knox (Keith); her sisters, Bonnie R. Manning and Stella T. Marshall (Truman), all of Harrisburg; her six grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Her life will be celebrated beginning with Alpha Kappa Alpha's Ivy Beyond The Wall Ceremony on Thursday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m.in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton,

Funeral Services on Friday, April 17 at 1 p.m. in the Sanctuary of her church, 1201 N. 17th St., Harrisburg with viewing 12 Noon until 1 p.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery. Steelton,
