Linda C. (Reilly) Costello, 57, died Thursday, August 20 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a long illness. She was the wife of 27 years of William J. Costello. Born in Brockton, she was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1976. She was a resident of Canton for many years. Mrs. Costello was a homemaker. Prior to raising her family, she worked as a Nurses' Aide at the Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton for several years. An avid sports fan, in her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Shelagh Costello Johnson and her husband Kenneth of Lakeville and Mellyn B. Costello of Canton. She was the sister of David B. Reilly of Raynham, Peter C. Reilly of Walpole, Stephen J. Reilly of Taunton, Bonnie M. Reilly-Malden, Bernice M. Cheverie and Colleen C. Reilly all of Stoughton. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Jacqueline Lee Costello. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, August 25, at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 4-8 PM. Donations in Linda's memory may be made to The Activity Fund at Webster Park, 56 Webster St., Rockland, MA 02370. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
