ETTENDORF - Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Eileen J. Budd, 76, a resident of Bettendorf, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4097 18th Street, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be today from 4:30 until 7 p.m. at the church in the Day Chapel. There will be a Prayer Service at 4:30 p.m. to begin the visitation.

The family has entrusted the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home with the funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Budd died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. She was surrounded by her loving family and peacefully passed following an extended illness.

Eileen June Ricca was born January 30, 1931, in Peoria, Illinois, a daughter of John C. and Thelma M. (Smith) Ricca. She was united in marriage to William E. "Bill" Budd on April 15, 1950, in Peoria. They were blessed with over 57 years of marriage.

She was a member of the church as well as St. Anthony's Circle at the church, Qwesters, and the Duck Creek Ladies Golf League. Eileen was a generous volunteer, she had assisted with Meals on Wheels and was a former member of the St. Luke's Auxiliary "Pink Ladies," and she had also been an active volunteer with various ministries through the church.

Eileen's greatest devotion in life had been to her family, her faith, and to her friends.

Memorials can be made to the church or to Genesis Hospice.

Survivors to honor her memory include her husband, Bill, Bettendorf; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Deborah Budd, Eagan, Minnesota, and Roger and Sherry Budd, Elgin, Illinois; a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Jim Seward, Bettendorf; nine loving grandchildren, Kelly, Eric, Jeremy, David, and Jennifer Budd, Stephanie, Tony and Nicholas Seward, and Lisa Swihart; and two great-grandchildren, Josie Swihart and Anthony Budd.

Her parents, brothers, John, Leroy, William, Richard and Paul Ricca, and a great-granddaughter, Lyndsey Swihart, preceded her in death. May they rest in peace.
