Nicolena “Lee” Almonte (Ricci) 85, of South Yarmouth, MA, formerly of Johnston RI, died January 30, 2015 due to complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

Predeceased by her daughter Christine Almonte, our beloved mother is survived by her five children: Americo Almonte, Jr. of Hyannis, Michael Almonte of Yarmouth Port, John Almonte of So. Yarmouth, Louis Almonte of Dennis, and Lisa Almonte of Marstons Mills; also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Orlando and Ronald Ricci of Johnston RI, and numerous nieces and nephews, she was predeceased by 9 siblings.

Lee was a devoted mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She retired from the culinary staff of Cape Cod Community College and as a Home Health Aide. For 59 years Lee worshipped at St. Pius X Church in So Yarmouth. Lee was a very family-oriented person who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid walker and card player as well as a huge movie buff, going to see every movie she could.

Close friends and family can visit Morris, O'Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am at St. Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth. Interment will follow at Chandler Gray Cemetery.
