Lydia is buried in the Phoenix, Oregon cemetery. A curator at the Southern Oregon Historical Society, Jacksonville Museum, P.O. Box 480, Jacksonville, Oregon 97530 had written that Russ Bowen on Oct 22, 1986 had supplied the following information:
Tillmann Lewis Bowman was born Jan 28, 1832 [1831] in McDonough Co., Ill.and died Jan 25, 1915 in Macomb, Ill. He married Liddie Anne Rich who died Oct 12, 1885 in Jacksonville, OR. She had left him, moving to Oregon. She died enroute or shortly after arrival.'
[Her name is listed in the Old Macomb Cemetery along with her husband Tillman Bowen. There is also a Liddie Bowen in this cemetery which may be this same Lydia as there are different spellings of her name; unless their daughter Ann born 1879 in Macomb whom we have no further record of was possibly Liddie Ann.)
Lydia was the daughter of Simon and Jane Adams Rich who were originally Quaker. Simon was born in North Carolina and Jane in Delaware. Their last known location was Schuyler County, Illinois which is next to McDonough County.
This may be the same person as Lydia Ann Rich Bowen.
