Mr. Roosevelt Richardson was born March 6, 1943, in Columbus, GA. To Amos and Lizzie Richardson. He departed this life on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Methodist Hospital Northlake. He confessed Christ at an early age and united with Moriah Baptist Church in Gary, IN. Roosevelt was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 during the Vietnam Era. Roosevelt retired from Inland Steel and was currently employed with USS Gary Works with 21 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Nandi and Kwame Richardson. Roosevelt leaves to cherish his memory, loving and devoted wife, Willie Richardson; four daughters, Merlene Richardson of Gary, IN, Ayanna Richardson of Indianapolis, IN, Miriam (Paul) Dutra of Mill Creek, IN and Shilonda Richardson of Gary, IN; sister, Minister Jennie Mobley; 2 brothers, Leeotis and Jimmy Lee Richardson; eleven grandchildren, Addae, Rasean, Calvin, Da'Mani, Tarris, Kentrell, Isaac, Nandi, Ka'Lyce, Kwame and Evan; great-grandchild, Londyn; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Today, April 9, 2015 9-11AM with homegoing services at 11 AM from Abundant Life Missionary Baptist Church 425 W 12th Ave. Gary, IN. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park, Hobart. Services rendered by Divinity Funeral Home.
