She was born on August 28, 1924, in Greenville, MS. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lee Thomas, two sisters, Lucille Gaston, Ruth Collins, one brother, Alfred Brown Sr., beloved grandson, Derrick J. Jenkins Sr., and best friend, Mary Bynum. She leaves to cherish her memory, devoted husband, Herman Richardson Sr.; one brother, Frank (Christine) Brady of Chicago; three daughters, Delores (William) Allen Sr., Willie Anne (Nathaniel) Hamilton, and Gail (Raymond) Levy; two sons, Herman (Debbie) Richardson Jr., and Otis Richardson; five grandchildren William (Keesha) Allen Jr., Leslie Allen, Raven Levy, Mariah and Noah Richardson; five great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Thelma Ruth Mason of New York, Olga Richardson of Memphis, Earline Richardson of New York, & very special sister-in-law, Patricia Brown of Gary; two brothers-in-law, Frazier Richardson of Greenville, MS, & Willie (Betty) Williams of Leesville, LA; a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation Thursday, November 16, 2006, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with family hour 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services Friday, November 17, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Reynaud Jones II of Christ Baptist Church, officiating. All services will be held at Smith Bizzell Warner Funeral Home, 4209 Grant St., Gary, IN. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
