Mrs. Amanda Faith, wife of Jesse Faith, died at their home in Mauckport Monday afternoon about one-thirty o'clock. Death was caused from heart trouble from which she suffered several months.
She was seventy four years of age. She was born and reared in this county, and her maiden name was Richard. She was a member of the Hyland Christian church.
Funeral services will be held this (Wednesday) morning at ten thirty o'clock, at Mt. Zion church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Besides her husband she leaves five children, Oliver and Thomas Faith of this county, Mrs. Bertha Jones, of Michigan City, Ill., Mrs. Katie Williams, of Mt. Vernon [Stewardville, Posey County, IN] and Ben Faith, of Latham, Illinois. To this union eight children were born, three having preceded her in death. She joined the Christian church at Union Chapel under the pastorate of Bro. Edwards and was baptized by Bro. Hanger. She lived and died in this faith.
