Ollivene M. Couzens
Ollivene Maye COUZENS, 70, of 511636 Gatehouse Drive, South Bend, died at 12:32 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. She was born Nov. 21, 1915 in Rochester to Charles and Ida M. RICHARD, and moved to South Bend in 1940. She was married Feb. 25, 1967 in South Bend to Charles COUZENS, who survives. She was a former owner and operator of Maple Lane Beauty Salon, and was a member of the Women of the Moose and of the St. Joseph Valley and the national hairdressers' associations.
Surviving with the husband are a daughter, Shirley COLLINS, Milford, Mich.; a son, Donald [COUZENS], Champaign, Ill.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eva L. RINGLER and Pauline RICHHART, both of South Bend, and three brothrs, Robert and John [RICHARD], both of Rochester, and Clifford [RICHARD], Lake Cono, Fla.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 U.S. 33 North, South Bend. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Valley Hairdressers and Cosmatologists, 2001 Prairie Ave., South Bend, 46613.
