Chuck was born in Gillette, Wyoming to parents Judy and Emmitt "Red" Rideout.
He spent the first few years of his life on the family homestead at Spotted Horse, Wyoming. By the time Chuck reached school age the family had moved to Sheridan.
All Chuck ever wanted to be was a "Cowboy". He spent several summers as a wrangler at the HF Bar Ranch and at Eaton's. Chuck loved people and he enjoyed spending time with the dudes telling stories. He spent most of his life training horses and living life as a "Cowboy". His travels took him all over the western United States.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son Spencer; brothers Clay Rideout of Worland and Doug Rideout and wife Carmen of Sheridan and a sister Donna Barker and husband Dan of Sheridan. Nancy Rideout was always a special lady in Chuck's life. In addition, he is survived by several nieces and nephews and their respective families.
Cremation has taken place. Plans are to scatter his ashes in the Spotted Horse area. A gathering of friends and family to celebrate Chuck's life will be announced at a later date.

The Rider Relief Fund has distributed over $1.4 million to injured bull riders of all ages, to their families and to personnel involved in the sport of bull riding. Chuck was very ill for approximately nine months in 2010. The family would like to express their thanks to all his friends and caregivers that gave him the care and support to get him back on his feet. Without you, Chuck would have never rebounded the way he did. Chuck's last days were happy days.
