Elizabeth Carson was the daughter of Ransom Rideout and Elizabeth Greenlaw, both born in St. Andrews ME. The informant was Simon Carson of Armstrong Ave. [in Cranbrook], per familysearch.org online copy of BC Archives death certificate 1912-09-165953. Middle name discrepancy on registration - either Matilda or Malinda.

From the Cranbrook Herald of Thursday January 18, 1912 (P5C3&4), via the UBC historical newspapers website:
The funeral of the late Mrs. G. R. [sic] Carson took place on Monday, and was very numerously attended, the deceased being held in great respect by a large number of friends. Deceased was a native of Maine, 54 years old, and had resided in Cranbrook for several years past. She leaves a husband and three children. Mr. Carson, sr. [sic], has been working at Yahk of late. The children are Mrs. Moseley, Sime and Pearl Carson. Rev. Mr. Kendall officiated at the funeral, F. Macpherson being in charge of arrangements.
