Memorial services for June R. Stimac, 89, of Davenport will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at St. John’s United Methodist Church, Davenport. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Inurnment will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Mrs. Stimac passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Kahl Home, Davenport. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service assisted the family with arrangements.

June Rideout was born on June 9, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of The Rev. Theodore and Marguerite (Gowlland) Rideout. In 1943 she graduated from Owatonna High School, and continued her education at Winona State College and the University of Minnesota College of Nursing. She was united in marriage to Dr. Emil M. Stimac on August 28, 1945. He preceded her in death in 2009. June was active in the community, serving as a member of the choir and altar guild at St. John’s United Methodist Church, as a member of P.E.O. Chapter IB, Senior Board, Meals on Wheels, Genesis Auxiliary, the Board of Trustees of the Quad City Symphony Orchestra, and as past president of Junior Board of the Visiting Nurses Association. She enjoyed golf, tennis, and playing bridge. She is survived by Daughters: The Rev. Nancy (Richard) Streufert of Eureka, CA, Vicki (John) Stickney of Athens, GA; Sons: Michael Ross Stimac of Cupertino, CA, Dr. Gary (Susie) Stimac of Issaquah, WA; Brother: Dr. Kenneth (Charlene) Rideout of Portland, OR; Sister: Janice (Vern) Erickson of Kelowna, B.C., Canada; Grandchildren: Andrew (Amy) Stimac, James Stickney, and Davis Stickney; Great-Grandchildren: Emily Ann Stimac and Benjamin Stimac.

The family is grateful to the staff at Genesis Hospice and the nursing staff on 3 South of the Kahl Home for their loving and compassionate care.
