Born June 17, 1915, in West Alexandria, she was the daughter of Frank and Nelle (Burtner) Rinehart. She received a bachelor's degree from Miami University, Oxford, and a master's degree in dietetics and home economics from Columbia University, New York City. She was a member of St. John Church, a former member of Alpha Kappa Sorority and the Women's Auxiliary of Trinity Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence, in 1997; brother, Huston Rinehart; and sister, Margaret Francis.
Survivors include sons, Larry (Diane) Beneke of Centerville, Ohio, Gordon Beneke and Steve Brownlee of Springfield; a grandson, Aaron (Rochelle) Beneke of Centerville, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Austin and Lauryn Beneke; step-grandsons, Darin (Kelli) Christie of Tipp City and Todd (Angel) Christie of Centerville, Ohio; and two step-great-grandchildren, Luke and Elizabeth Christie.
Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 23, at St. John Church, West Alexandria, followed by burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria. Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
