Angelina Briones Rivera was among family and friends during her last hours at home when she passed away.
Angie was born to Martin and Francisca Briones in Compton, Ca. Angelina is survived by her siblings, Anita, Juan, Salvador, Richard, and Celestino Briones.
Angelina Briones wed Moises Rivera on September 24, 1955. They were blessed with six children, Jose G. Rivera of Colton, CA; Dr. Rebecca Rivera of Bakersfield, Olivia Delgadillo of Los Angeles, Patricia Rivera of Tracy, CA, Victor Rivera of American Canyon, CA and Francisca Gonzales of Compton. She was also survived by her adopted daughter, Dr. Elva Lopez.
A mass will be held on Tuesday, April 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Church in Bakersfield. A viewing from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. will be held at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach, CA. on Tuesday, April 15. A memorial mass and her interment will be held the following morning at 9 a.m. at the same location.
Angie will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She was a beautiful example of a wife and mother. She will be remembered for her endless generosity and the virtuous way she lived. Here I Am Lord were her last words. She was prepared for her journey and in the end continued to have her childrens well-being in mind. Thank you for always being there! Youll be in our hearts forever.
