Mary Elizabeth Banta Wirth, 94, died December 20, 2012 at her daughter's home in Lincoln, California. She was born in Millgrove, Indiana on May 21, 1918 to Ralph and Linnie (Worster) Robbins.
She was married to Willard Riley Banta on May 21, 1939. He passed away on May 6, 1985. There were 5 children born to this union, Bill, Cindy, Tom, Jack and Bob.
She was a long-time beautician in Portland and played the organ for the Blue Notes band for several years with Jack Welker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard, her parents, and two sons, Bill and Bob Banta.
Surviving are a daughter, Cindy Banta, Lincoln, Calif; two sons, Thomas Banta, Portland, Ind. and Jack Banta, Springfield, Vt. Also surviving are six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
