Mrs. Marie Robbins Appleton, 50, of 104 West Seventh street, Peru, died late Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 7, at here home. She had been ill since May.

The wife of O. M. Appleton, she was a member of the First Baptist church. She was born Aug. 3, 1906, in Lafayette, to Fred and Lulu Briney Robbins, her marriage was on May 28, 1928. She was reared in Delphi.

Survivors are the husband; four sons: Thomas, Sacramento, Cal.; Robert, route 3, Peru; and Joseph and John Robbins both of Peru; a brother, Clyde, Hobart; a sister, Mrs. Marion Briggs, Delphi; and four grandchildren.

Funeral rite were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Eikenberry funeral home, in Peru, with the Rev. Gary Allbritten officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Hope cemetery, Peru.
