Clyde Robbins Dies at Hospital
Clyde C. Robbins, 71, of Seymour R1, died at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday at Jackson County Schneck Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for five years.
A retired employee of the National Veneer and Lumber Co., he was a life-long resident of Jackson County
Born July 30, 1894, in Seymour, he was the son of the late James and Emma Hinds Robbins.
On December 3, 1932, in North Vernon, he married the former Mary Spray, who survives. He served in the armed forces during World War I.
In addition to the widow, survivors include two sons, Clyde O. and Walter L. Robbins, both of Seymour R1; one daughter of Columbus; four brothers, William and Charles Robbins, both of Seymour, Henry Robbins of North Vernon R4, and Ollie Robbins of Gary. Three brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Voss Chapel with the Rev. Earl Carmichael, of the North Vernon Evangelical United Brethren Church, officiating. Burial in the Acme Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Voss Mortuary after noon Friday.
