Born Aug. 8, 1922, in Stafford, Ohio, she was the daughter of Wayne and Ida Mae (Mallett) Robbins. She married John J. Banks on Aug. 10, 1971, and he survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene.
Dorcas graduated from Stafford High School in 1941, and was a member of AARP and Today's Homemakers.
Surviving are her husband, John J. Banks, Mitchell; daughters, Pam (Barry) Childers, Noblesville, Patty (Larry) Hobbs, Williamsburg, Ky., and Dee (Don) Haney, Mitchell; a brother, Bob (Stephanie) Robbins, Baltimore, Md.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Her parents and brothers, Charles, Junior, and Harold Robbins, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Mark Bechtel, Pastor Dave Mikulsky, and Brother Don Haney officiating.
Entombment will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Chastain Funeral Home and from noon until the service on Thursday at the church.
Casketbearers will be: Aaron Haney, Seavor Roach, David Hobbs, Todd Nye, Jeremy Hobbs, Steve Blair, and Barry Childers.
