ROBERTS — Jerome D, "Jerry", 57, lifetime resident of Ft. Lauderdale died Friday. Jerry was a descendant of the Stranahan and Cromartie families, who were pioneer settlers of this area, graduate of Ft. Lauderdale High School Class of 1955, served in the U.S. Army Special Forces, retired from Southern Bell Telephone Co, and as a member of the Masonic Lodge, Columbus, OH. Survived by his sons, both of Pompano Beach; and brother, Romulus of Wilton Manors. At his request, Jerry will be buried at sea by his sons. Arrangements by FAIRCHILD FUNERAL HOME, 299. N. Federal Hwy., Ph. 763-4488.
