GOULDSBORO and SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Jean R. "Robbie" Barron, 63, wife of the late Ralph H. Barron, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born April 7, 1942, in San Francisco, Calif., the daughter of John R. and Nettie M. (Townley) Robertson. Robbie was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and retired from the U.S. Naval Training Center in San Diego in 1971. Following her military service, she worked for the U.S. Civil Service as a federal services accounting technician. She retired from the U.S. Civil Service in 1997. Following her retirement, Robbie moved to Gouldsboro, to be near her sister and to enjoy the beauty of Maine.
In addition to her mother, Robbie is survived by her twin brother, John Robertson and his wife, Joyce, of Waretown, N.J., Judith Robertson of Gouldsboro, Catherine Robertson of Grand Junction, Colo., and Margaret Shultes and her husband, Chris, of Courtland, N.Y.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Robbie will be entombed beside her husband at the Greenwood Memorial Park and Mortuary in San Diego, Calif. (Bangor Daily News 8/20/2005)
