Gibbs, Mabel (nee: Robinson) of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of 69 years to the late Ernest A. Gibbs; cherished daughter of the late David and Ethel Robinson; devoted mother of Jan (Jerry) Chance, Doyle (Shirley) Gibbs, Terry Gibbs, Gary (Diana) Gibbs, Kenny (Kathy) Gibbs, and the late Kevin “Jimbo” Gibbs; loving grandmother of Sherry, Tammy, Bryan, Jennifer, Tiffany, Jason, Donald, Melissa, Darren, Christopher, Austin, Leigha, Brandon, Kevin, Jeremy, Adam, and Nick; treasured great-grandmother of Bradley, Melanie, Kaley, Chance, Jamie, Caleb, Logan, Alissa, Isabella, Connor, Dylan, Tyler, Braden, Triston, Avery, Madelyn, Devon, Dane, Drake, Grant, Luke, Karson, Ryley, Chase, Brooklyn, Lilly, Addison, Emmersyn, Emmett, and one on the way; and dear sister of John (Frances) Robinson and Harry (Vicki) Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her twin brother, Marion Robinson and brother, Tillman David “TD” Robinson.
Mabel was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, pottery, and the St. Louis Cardinals. She was a fantastic cook and was known for her excellent chicken and dumplings and pies. Most of all, Mabel’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
