Estelle Roddy "Sweet" Alfred, a resident of Baton Rouge, died at 11:10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary. She was 86 and a native of Slaughter.
She is survived by her four sisters, Inez Payne Davis and Lillie Hatcher, both of Baton Rouge, Mattie Smart, of Baker, and Dorothy Clay, of Detroit; four brothers, Carey, James and spouse Paula, and Nathaniel, all of Baton Rouge, and Leroy and spouse Audrey, of Slaughter.
Preceded in death by her father and mother, Willie and Estelle Heatley Roddy; three sisters and five brothers.
