BETTY JEAN BOYD
Betty Jean Boyd passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 73. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Oak Grove Pentecostal Ministries with Rev. Tracy Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow in Black Community Cemetery with Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home of Hartford directing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2009 until service time Thursday at Oak Grove Pentecostal Ministries. Ms. Boyd was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Bernice Rose. Her husband, Raymond Boyd, Sr.; a daughter, Brenda Hildreth; a grandson, Claude Boyd; a great-grandson, Jadakiss Lett. Mrs. Boyd is survived by two daughters, Debbie Smiths of Black and Barbra (Tracy) Hobbs of Black; one son, Raymond (Vicki) Boyd of Black; two brothers, AC Rose of VA and Woody Rose of GA; one sister, Barbra Harless of MD; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Bottoms-Garden Chapel of Hartford, (334) 588-3250, is in charge of arrangements.
