Anthony James Blanchard Ross, one of the prominent residents and member of one of the oldest families in northern New York, died Saturday evening at his home in Essex. He was a graduate from Hobart College in 1866 and studied law. practicing in Essex. He was Supervisor five years from Essex. His father was Hon. Howard Henry Ross who served with distinction at the battle of Plattsburgh and who was a member of Congress, County Judge and held other places of important interest. Mr. Ross is survived by his wife, one child, his
brother, John Ross of Plattsbugh, and two sisters, Mrs. Fairbanks of Essex and Miss Francis J. Ross of New York.
