Obituary- Published in Battle Creek Enquirer Battle Creek, Wed. May 14, 2003- Stella Faye Bicknell, 56, of Battle Creek, died Monday May 12, 2003 at Borgess Medical Centre.
"Faye" was born Oct. 21, 1946 in Battle Creek to Robert and Stella (Day) Rouch. She was a lifelong Battle Creek resident and a 1964 graduate of Pennfield High School, the first year the High School opened. Faye was currently the dispatcher for yellow and Union Cab Companies where she has been employed for 20 years. She was previously employed at the Delton Cafe as a bar tender and waitress; for Hope Township as a dispatcher and had been a nurses aide at the Old American Legion Home in Ft. Custer.
She was previously married to Michael T Mosley, who resides in Battle Creek. Her second husband Milo E Lake preceded her in death.
Faye was survived by her current Husband Phillip E. Bicknell, a son Shawn D (Vicki) Mosley, two daughters Lori J. (Greg) Lockmiller, Melissa L. (Craig) MacGregor, a special step daughter Sara (Terry) Grant , all of Battle Creek; step daughters Becky and Suprina , 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Faye was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael Garrett and sisters Karen Losey and Phyllis Turngate.
Faye loved spending time with her family and working in dispatch; enjoyed Bingo, car racing, casinos, Indian Dolls, country music, travelling and her dogs.
At the request of her family, friends may call after 2:00 pm today at the Farley-Estes and Dowdle Funeral Home, where family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
Funeral service will be held at the funeral home 10:30 am Thursday with interment to follow at Hicks Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Cancer Society.
