Helen M. Boos, 85, a resident of the Chippewa Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the home.

She was born May 6, 1928 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Andrew and Wilhelmina (Boos) Ruf.

On October 4, 1955, she married Truman A. Boos at St. Peter's Catholic Church in the town of Tilden. She was a member of St. Charles Church.

She had worked for Mason Shoe until retiring. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, playing the card game Tic, bingo, camping, fishing on Lake Ojakski, "Mud Lake" and growing vegetables and flowers.

Helen is survived by three brothers, Joseph (Joyce) Ruf, Willi (Helen) Ruf both of Chippewa Falls and Edward (Ruth) Ruf of Bloomer; three sisters, Rose (William) Schindler and Clara Scheidecker both of Bloomer and Mary Ann Schimmel of Chippewa Falls; and four sisters-in-law, Bernadine Larson, Margaret, Gert Boos, Dorothy Boos all of Chippewa Falls.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman; brothers-in-law, Les Schimmel, Roman, Joe, Royal, Arnie, Norman and Kenny Boos and Alvin Scheidecker; sisters-in-law, Berdonna Hartman, Bernadette Heyde and Bernice Schindler.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 6, at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls. The Very Rev. Ed Shuttleworth will be officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.
