She was the mother of Oras BUSCH of Perryton.
Katie Ruf BUSCH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Fredrick RUF, was born Dec. 2, 1868 and died at the ageof 84 years, 1 month and 22 days.
In 1887 she married Jacob BUSCH, and they lived happily together for nearly 66 years. To this union was born 10 children, one preceding his mother in death.
She is survived by her husband; nine children, Katie SCHICK of Los Angeles, Mollie PENIGAR of Higgins, Annie DICK of Broomfield, Colo., Esther SCHMUNK of Los Angeles, John BUSCH of Shattuck, Hannah PURIS of Barstow, Calif., Oras BUSCH of Perryton, Bill BUSCH of keene, and Rose McCUSKER of Los Angeles; 36 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
While still in Russia, she was baptized into the Seventh-Day Adventist church by pastor Conrad Laubhan in 1896. She remained a faithful member of the church for 50 years.
In 1898 she and her husband and family came to America, first settling at Lehigh, Kansas.
In 1901 she came to Oklahoma and settled south of Shattuck where she made her home until 1940 when they moved to Shattuck.
Burial Monday afternoon in the Seventh-Day Adventist cemetery at Shattuck.
