Lorene died peacefully at her home while surrounded by her loving husband and children. Preceded in death by parents, William and Mada Goodman; brothers, Eli Goodman and Charlie Goodman and sister, Nancy Wiederholt. Survived by her husband, Carlton Russell; son, Mike (Pam) Russell; daughter, Christe (Jim) Endsley; grandchildren, Lyndsay and Jonathan Russell, and Brittni Endsley; sister, Lottie Bell and numerous nieces and nephews. Her remains were held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, where the family received friends along with a Eulogy and Rosary May 18, 2004. A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, with Father William Bevington as Celebrant. Pallbearers were Edward Bruchas, Thomas Frank, Bill Braswell, John Janicek, J. R. Janicek, Henry Applegate, Robert Johnson and Keith Bell. Honorary Pallbearers were Bob Parks Realty, Knights of Columbus, and Veterans of Foreign War Post 9851. Interment was held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
