Ethel Mai Russell, age 88, of Portland, died July 27, 2005, at Highland Manor. Born in Sumner County on March 8, 1917, to the late Benjamin and Mary Pearson. She is survived by daughters, Sue (George) Martin of Portland, Linda (Kevin) Stinson of Franklin, Ky.; grandchildren, Kendall Martin, Kerry (Penny) Martin, Angela Russell, Amy (Chad) McCormack; 7 great grandchildren, 1 step grandchild; sister, Carolyn McDuffie. Preceded in death by husband, Willie F. Russell; son, Floyd D. Russell; and grandson, Timothy D. Russell. Visitation will 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., Thursday, July 28, 2005, and all day Friday, July 29, 2005. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2005, at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Turner and Bro. Kendall Martin officiating. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darrell Pearson, Michael Pearson, Kerry Martin, Kendall Martin, Josh Martin, and Chad McCormack.
