Norma J. Lowther, 72, of Nashua, passed away following a long illness on Sunday October 20, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital.

Norma was born in Hague, NY on March 15, 1940, a daughter of the late Henry and Caroline (Scripture) Ruth. Norma was the wife of Henry E. Lowther of Nashua.

Norma was a longtime resident of Nashua. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by Amoskeag Insurance. Norma was a fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting.

Besides her husband, Norma is survived by;

Five daughters; Nancy Guilbeault and her husband Peter of Wilton, Kristen Prado and her husband Jorge of Freeland, MD, Barbara Davenport and her husband Clint of Fayetteville, GA, Suzanne Theriault and her husband David of Amherst and Judith Delude and her fiancée Eichel

Three sons; David Cordingley and his wife Mary of Jackson, NY, Henry E. Lowther Jr. and his wife Therese of Nashua and Stephen Lowther of Dallas, GA

Seventeen grandchildren; John, Christine, Zenaida, Robert, Honora, Melissa, Jennifer, Henry III, Jessica, Samuel, Sarah, Amanda, Steven, Alexandria, Cameron Joseph, Joshua and Shaina

One great-grandchild; Kaiden

Two brothers; William Ruth of Schenectady, NY and Charles Ruth of Holland, MI

Three sisters; Carol Whalen of Witherbee, NY, [Ida] May of Hague, NY and Brenda Hutchinson of NY

As well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Note: Original obituary said she was born in 1941, but "The Autobiography of Henry William Ruth (1897-1993)" said 1940. Since he was her father I'm using his word against the obituary's.
