Margaret "Peggy" (Ryan) Brenton
SOUTHPORT, Conn. - Peggy Brenton passed away peacefully Sunday (Oct. 4, 2015) surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer.
Born Dec. 9, 1938, she was a daughter of William and Kathryn Ryan. She was a graduate of Lauralton Hall and St. Joseph College in Hartford.
Peggy ran an interior design firm for 20 years and was involved with many organizations in her community.
She is survived by three children, Capt. Kevin R. Brenton, U.S. Navy retired, Col. D. Scott Brenton, U.S. Air Force retired, and Jacqueline A. Iodice; five grandchildren; and her sister, Susan Ryan Ford of Olean.
She was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, John J. Brenton, in 1996; and her brother, Timothy William Ryan, in 2010.
Interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.
