Bacon, 87, of Grosvenor Dale, Connecticut, a packer with the Allen Candy Corp. in North Grosvenor Dale before her retirement in 1980, died on the morning of Friday, November 10, 2000, following an illness. Visiting hours are scheduled for Sunday, November 12, 2000, 5-8 p.m., at Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main Street, North Grosvenor Dale. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, November 13, 9 a.m., at St. Joseph Church, 18 Main Street, North Grosvenor Dale. Cremation will follow. Burial of remains will be at the convenience of the family at St. Joseph Cemetery, North Grosvenor Dale.
