He was predeceased by his first wife, Maria Rita Sa whom he met in Portugal. Arthur is survived by his present wife, Margaride Araujo; four children (with his first wife), Anthony; Alfredo; Maria Kenwell; Arthur and 8 grandchildren.
Arthur grew up in Portugal, living with his grandparents. After he returned to the states, he was a member of the Brooklyn Dodgers, playing second base.
Later, Arthur worked in costruction and founded Sa and Sons Construction Co. in Watchung, NJ.
He was awarded an honorary membership in the North Plainfield P.B.A. and was a member of the Portuguse-American Cultural Society of Palm Beach.
