Kathryn P. Bacalles, age 85, of Roosevelt St, Corning, NY died Thur, June 18, 2009 at Founders Pavilion in Corning.
Born in Corning on Nov 1, 1923, she was the daughter of Ralph and Kathryn (Gauss) Said.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas Bacalles in 2002.
Kathryn loved being with her family. She worked side by side with her husband in the restaurant business, Bacalles Bar and Grill, 21 West, and Jims Texas Hots.
She is survived by her daughters, Celia (James) Bratton of Canandaigua and Cynthia (Shane) Wiles of Beaver Dams; sons, James (Phyllis) Bacalles of Corning, Jim Wellington of Riverside, CA, and Leslie (Lyn) Wellington of Eugene, OR; sister, Florence Conaway of Campbell; sisters-in-law, Joan Said of Painted Post and Tillie Bacalles of Corning; grandson, James N. Bratton of Canandaigua; step-granddaughter, Brittany Owens of Orlando, FL; several nieces and nephews including Joe and George Conaway.
Kathryn was predeceased by her brother, Ralph Said and her sister, Lois Said.
Calling hours will be held on Tue, Jun 23 from 10-noon at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St where funeral services will follow calling hours at noon with Father Richard Scott officiating.
Burial will be in Hope Cemetery Annex in Corning.
