Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. A memorial fund will be established in his memory.

He was born July 4, 1931, in Scranton, Pa., to Joseph and Lillian Waz Sanders. He married Mary Lou Veerhusen June 6, 1951, in Fonda, Iowa.
He had been a mechanical engineer at Alcoa, Bettendorf, for 36 years, retiring in 1994.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou; daughters, Cyndy Kaufman, Kelley, Iowa, Jennifer Gervais, Des Moines, Iowa, and Heather Sanders, Ankeny, Iowa; four grandchildren; and a sister, Frieda Miller, Yuma, Ariz.
