LORETTA MAE BABBITT, 89, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014. Born in Water-ford, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Hazel Sanders. She married the late, Francis Babbitt, Nov. 1, 1942; they then lived in Pennsylvania and California before settling in Fort Wayne to raise their family in 1959. She then worked and retired from K-Mart after 27 years of service. Surviving are her sons, Richard (Linda) and Ron (Terry); brother, Ray Sanders; her pride and joy four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and the first great-great-granddaughter to be born this month. She was preceded in death by a grandson, James Babbitt. Funeral Service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior.
