James father was Jesse G Sanderson and mother Judith Lariah Corsbie. Jesse died somewhere between Nashsville, Tennennesse, Huntsville, Alabama and Corinth, Mississippi in the Civil War during a march to fight Union soldiers. He is believe it was disease that took his life. He was apart of the Sixteenth Alabama under command of Woods. No one has found where Jesse is buried, but it is believe he share a mass grave along with other sick soldiers of the war.
