Mrs. Olar Jane Bates, 79, O'Shaughnessy Ave., died today at a local hospital.


The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin-Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.


Survivors include a son, John David Bates of Huntsville; two brothers, Josh Sanderson and Sidney Sanderson, both of Huntsville; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
