METTIE VIRGINIA ALDRIDGE, 90, Poplarville, Miss., formerly of the Detroit area, died on Friday, April 5, 1996, in Poplarville. She was born on August 10, 1905, in Marion County, the daughter of Calvin C. Sanderson and Virginia Ellen Adams Sanderson. She was a homemaker.

Funeral services were held on Monday, April 8, 1996, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Hamilton Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Site Cemetery. George Lee and Lonzo Nealon were the officiating ministers.

Survivors include three daughters - Merrell Childs, Poplarville, Miss., Marcelle Forsythe, Memphis, Tenn., and Rilla Dean Henson, Detroit; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Hamilton Funeral Home directed the services.
