Anabelle “Ann” Baker, age 79 of Osceola passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Elkhart Hospice House. Ann was born April 28, 1938 in West Point, Indiana to the late Sandford and Maud (Humes) Scarlett. On March 1, 1969, she married Dale F. Baker in Osceola.

Dale survives, along with their children Kirk (Kim) Bennett of Elkhart, Mark (Cheri) Bennett of Elkhart, Michael D. (Maggie) Baker of St. Peters, Missouri, Dan (Lissa Hajoway) Baker of Chicago, Illinois, and Dale F. (Liudyte) Baker Jr. of Tucson, Arizona. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren; Joshua Bennett, Derek Bennett, Katie Bennett and Jack Baker and a great- grandson Jake Bennett. Ann was also eagerly anticipating the arrival of her 5th grandchild this July. She is also survived by her siblings Lucille Roland, Floyd (Emily) Scarlett, June (Joe) Nozyakowski, and John (Ellen) Scarlett. Preceding her in death were her siblings Don, Junior, Grant, Maryellen, Luella and Martha.

Visitation will be held from 11am-2pm Friday, June 9, 2017 at Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Osceola. Funeral services will follow at 2pm and interment will follow in California Road Cemetery, Elkhart.

Ann was employed by Excel in Elkhart, and later co-owned Vend-o-vision of Michiana. Ann also enjoyed antiquing and had a booth at Antiques on Beardsley for over 25 years.

She loved the Lord and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling through the mountains with her husband.
